Physical and digital artworks showcased at Sagamore South Beach, Miami’s Original Art Hotel
The Open Call
We invited artists to apply for our week-long Bitcoin art show during Art Basel Miami at the Sagamore, Miami's original art hotel.
Artists were invited to submit artworks inspired by the Art Deco movement, — a prominent artistic and design style of the 1920s and 1930s, known for its floral ornamentation, geometric shapes, and feeling of opulence. During that period, Miami experienced significant growth and development, resulting in the construction and design of numerous buildings in the Art Deco style.
Through this open call, Gamma wanted to pay homage to this moment as we begin a new one — the digital art movement preserving works on Bitcoin.
A week long show
Our 7 day show was presented on an immersive, 100 sq ft LED wall, curved around the natural architecture within the Sagamore South Beach lobby.
Just two blocks from Art Basel, it will be seen by thousands of art collectors, hotel guests, and event attendees.
The Open Call was open to all Bitcoin artists. Selected works were shown during our Ordinals Edition conference, but only Partner Artists automatically had their work exhibited at the venue for the whole week.
A selection of exhibited artworks were added to the Miami collection on Gamma.
Physical artworks
An exclusive opportunity for Partner Artists to showcase physical works at the Sagamore South Beach Hotel, all week long.
Exhibited artworks included pieces by Camille Chiang and Swayze Digital.
Live music by Violetta Zironi et the Nolcha Shows: Ordinals Edition Afterparty.
Signed and numbered physical prints of "Miami Kaiju Gator" for ticket holders, by artist and graphic designer Waxbones.
